Michele has coached for Clayton Diving for several years. In fact, Michele grew up diving in the Clayton Diving program when it was just beginning. As a diver, Michele was a Missouri High School State Champion, and in college she was an NCAA finalist, earning All-American Diver recognition at the University of Illinois. As a coach, Michele has not only been a Clayton Diving coach, but she has also served as the coach for Washington University, and for 10 years she was the coach for Clayton High School.
Cortney has coached for Clayton Diving since 2009. She grew up in Columbia, Missouri, and was a four-time, All-State diver for Hickman High School, also earning a scholarship to dive for the University of Missouri. After college, Cortney ran the Columbia club team for four years and also coached the Hickman and Rock Bridge high-school teams. Cortney moved to St. Louis and took a break from coaching to get married and raise her two kids. She returned to coaching in 2014, to work with the Clayton Diving Travel Team.
During the indoor season (September – May), Clayton Diving’s many weekly practices and lessons are run by several different coaches, most of whom are current or former collegiate divers. These coaches include: Michelle Bell, Lara Christie, Michele Ferber, Ron Hobbs, Meggie Meisinger, Zac Metcalf, Adam Peper, and Cortney Teague.
